Celebrating Life’s Stories

Spring is finally here and it is time for us to start preparing for National Skilled Nursing Care Week in May!   The theme this year is “Celebrating Life’s Stories”. The theme serves as a tribute to life’s most significant events, relationships, and experiences that shape the unique perspectives of residents, families, staff, and volunteers in our communities.

At Berea Health and Rehabilitation, we know that our residents value family, therefore we will be focusing on a family aspect as our facility theme. To all who has a loved one in our facility, we are asking for your help. We will be creating a “Life Story” for each of our residents.   Life Stories will be displayed in each resident’s rooms on their wall. Our hopes are that the “Life Story” will help to restore memories, show accomplishments, give staff and loved ones a look at all the important experiences and relationships our residents have experienced throughout their lifetime!

We ask that you please bring in baby pictures, wedding pictures, and pictures of the resident with their spouse, kids, grandkids, etc. On each photo please write on the back who is in the picture and/or what the photo is of. Please do NOT bring any originals!   If you have any questions of if you need to send the pictures digitally, please feel free to call the facility at 859-986-4710 and ask to speak to our Activities director!
